I was listening to the Al Franken show Friday and he was interviewing Brian Schweitzer. Mr. Schweitzer was doing great, making good points, sounding like a great guy, when suddenly, he disses Cindy Sheehan.
He was talking about doing a "redo" of the state of the union address to unveil a new "Apollo Project" for energy independence, when he said (paraphrased):
Cindy Sheehan of course wouldn't be invited, no matter WHAT she was wearing.
Mr. Schweitzer's stock has plummeted in my opinion with that needless and unwarranted attack on someone who is speaking up against the tragedies of war. She was an invited guess of congresswoman Lynn Woolsey to the State of the Union Address. In my opinion, his comment was in bad taste and he needs to apologize to her. What does everyone else think? Is this behavior OK? Should it be called out?
